Celebrating Jewish Learning, Leadership, and Community Engagement in Windsor-Essex

The Alef-Bet Scholarship in Honour of Zoia Belenkova celebrates Jewish learning, leadership, and community engagement in Windsor-Essex. It was created to remember Zoia Belenkova, who valued education, cherished Jewish traditions, and quietly gave her support to the community she loved. This scholarship supports individuals at various stages of life who are actively involved in Jewish life in our community.

The Scholarship is designed to recognize and support engagement with Jewish learning and community leadership. In 2026 the scholarship is offered to University of Windsor Students – for emerging leaders balancing academic pursuits with Jewish involvement on campus.

Inspired by Zoia’s vision, her family is committed to ensuring that Jewish learning, identity, and leadership continue to thrive for generations in Windsor-Essex. This scholarship both honours her memory and empowers recipients to carry forward her spirit of dedication and service into the future.
