Windsor, Ontario, May 9, 2024 – Members of the media are invited to join in spreading the news about the WindsorEssex Community Foundation’s launch of our 2024 Vital Signs® survey on their website. We strongly encourage residents within our area to get involved by participating in the survey as it allows our Foundation to get a snapshot of our community as a whole. The WindsorEssex Community Foundation wants to hear from our community and let their voices be heard.
Why should someone take our survey? It is for the betterment of the community, we use it to determine how we distribute funds, priority-setting for our municipal officials, takes only 20 minutes to complete, hosted online for easy access, and empowers you to make a difference!
This is one of the several annual Vital Signs® Reports that the WindsorEssex Community Foundation (WECF) have released to the community, enabling us to track trends over time. The Vital Signs® Report outlines where the needs and strengths are in Windsor-Essex County, what the community priorities are, and it helps the WECF determine where we can have the greatest impact locally through our grant making.
Some of the Top Priorities identified in the 2022 Vital Signs® Report include:
• Improving access to mental health programs and services
• Increasing opportunities for people to feel included and connected
• Increasing professional opportunities for those seeking employment in the arts & cultural sector
Vital Signs® is a community resource that builds knowledge, informs grant making, and identifies strategic priorities.
