On June 26, 2024 – the WindsorEssex Community Foundation, local community partners, and Municipal representatives from Windsor-Essex County gathered at Oxley Estate Winery to celebrate the WindsorEssex Community Foundation’s 40th Anniversary Wrap Up Celebration.
Over the past year and a half, the WindsorEssex Community Foundation has been celebrating a monumental milestone
commemorating its 40th anniversary with local community partners and Municipalities throughout our region to create
legacy projects. In celebration of the Foundations 40th anniversary the WindsorEssex Community Foundation has invested
over $325,000 to 13 legacy projects throughout Windsor-Essex County. Eight of these legacy projects are in each of our
Municipalities, tied to waterfront spaces.
Town of Amherstburg: The Hole in the Wall Photo Frame located at the Amherstburg Visitor Centre.
Town of Essex: Colchester Beach Photo Op Stop project.
Town of Kingsville: Lakeside Park Gazebo Revitalization.
Municipality of Lakeshore: Lakeview Park Sailboat Sculpture.
The Town of LaSalle: LaSalle Landing Event Centre Entrance Garden.
Municipality of Leamington: Sea Cliff Park Basketball Court Renewal.
The City of Windsor: Seating area at Alexander Park.
Town of Tecumseh: Chief Tecumseh Statue at Lakewood
