The South Essex Community Council has been awarded a grant of $40,920 on behalf of the GSC Six4Six Community Granting Initiative to support their Building Routes to Mental Wellness Project. The Project educates service providers, employers, immigrants and temporary foreign workers on early identification and intervention of mental health problems. Mental Health First Aid Training sessions will be delivered resulting in increased knowledge of early intervention and identification of mental health problems for over 8,000 participants including employers, immigrant-serving organizations, and immigrants and temporary foreign workers themselves. A metal health resource in English, Arabic, Spanish and Low German will be made available to immigrants and temporary foreign workers over this multi-year project.
