The United Church Downtown Mission Windsor has been awarded a grant of $165,000 on behalf of GSC Six4Six Community Granting Initiative to support their Oral Health for All project. The funding will go towards expanding Windsor’s only “pay what you can” dental program with focus on delivering affordable oral health screening, dental and hygiene services in various communities throughout Essex County. By first collaborating with the Harrow Health Centre and the Essex County Health Unit through the (Leamington Dental Facility) the goal is to treat between 10-20 individuals per week, potentially serving 1040 individuals per year who otherwise may not have access to oral health care. Funds will be used to pay for program expansion, staff and supplies.
