The Canadian Mental Health Association Windsor-Essex County Branch has been awarded a grant of $25,000 on behalf of the GSC Six 4 Six Community Granting Initiative to support their Building a More Mentally Healthy Community project. The project aims to deliver mental health education, training  and awareness to priority populations and their caregivers including healthcare workers and teachers. The project aims at focusing on key topic areas including caregiver stress, dealing with anxiety and depression, resiliency, compassion fatigue, suicide, PTSD, trauma and trauma informed care. Through training workshops and educational sessions, specially trained staff will be able to proactively provide information, tools and resources.
